Staples are used to hold wire to wood posts. They are available in different sizes and different types or styles and gauges. Our staples are an 8 gauge staple. All staples come with slash points on each end to hammer it into the wood post. Some staples come with an additional barb or even a double barb that will increase holding ability in the wood. Staples come with different classes of galvanization you want to use a Class 3 staple to prevent your wire from rusting prematurely. All Kiwi staples are class 3 galvanized. It is important to remember not to drive any staple all the way home on a post as it will prevent movement of the wire or could damage the insulator. It is recommended that you use proper safety hand and eye protection when installing staples. There are right and left handed staples depending on the machine angle cut as it is produced. When installing you staples install them with a slight 45 degree angle and alternate this as you go down the post. This little trick will make the staples hold better.
Brace pins are used to hold you top horizontal post in the erection of your H style brace assemblies. They are available in sizes of 4”, 5” 9” an 10” in length. They fit a standard 3/8” hole. A double brace assembly will use 4" 9" or 10” pins and 2" 4" or 5” pins. A single brace assembly will use 1" 9" or 10” pin and 1" 4" or 5” pin.
